Project Overview
Sughavazhvu Healthcare’s flagship initiative is the development of comprehensive cancer care capacity in Tiruchirappalli.
With the support of Excel Healthcare, a unit of Excel Group, a 75-bed comprehensive cancer care institution is being developed at Sooriyur in Tiruchirappalli district.
The institution is planned to bring advanced diagnosis, medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, chemotherapy, pathology, rehabilitation, supportive care and palliative care together within a coordinated healthcare environment.
The initiative is intended to reduce the medical, financial and emotional burden faced by patients who currently travel long distances for advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment.
This initiative is guided by a clear objective:
To make advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment accessible without requiring patients to travel long distances to metropolitan cities.

The hospital has state-of-the-art diagnostic health care facilities and a complete comprehensive cancer care and treatment centre with Medical, Surgical and Radiation Oncology and Nuclear medicines providing a comprehensive therapeutic platform to the cancer patients and palliative care for the end-of-life patients.
