About Us
Sughavazhvu Healthcare is a Section 8 not-for-profit healthcare organisation established in 2008 with the objective of improving access to quality healthcare for economically vulnerable communities.
Based in the Thanjavur–Tiruchirappalli region of Central Tamil Nadu, Sughavazhvu Healthcare was founded on a simple but powerful belief — that essential healthcare services must be accessible, affordable, and delivered with dignity.
Over the years, the organisation has evolved from community-based outreach initiatives into a structured healthcare institution focused on prevention, screening, awareness, and long-term capacity building. Rather than limiting itself to episodic camps or short-term interventions, Sughavazhvu Healthcare is committed to building sustainable healthcare infrastructure that can serve communities for generations.
Since 2023, the organisation has been guided by a renewed institutional vision focused on long-term healthcare institution building — including the development of a comprehensive cancer care initiative in Tiruchirappalli aimed at strengthening oncology access across Central Tamil Nadu.
